Here is my offering for this week’s WordPress Weekly Photo Challenge: Let There Be Light.
I was waiting for a city cat (ferry) to go to the commercial area of Brisbane (Australia) and the light was very striking.
The pelican seemed to be enjoying the last of the sun’s warmth. As the sun went down, the clouds looked like they were on fire.
Docks, ferry boats, and beautiful sunsets are three of my favorite things! A lovely photo, Kim.
Thank you for following me 👣 Jane

Hello Jane. Yes, I am lucky to live close to the Brisbane River, and traverse it regularly on a city cat (catamaran fleet run by the Brisbane City Council). It’s perfect for photos like you describe.
I need to look some more around your blog — I haven’t posted for a while, and trying to fix that.
Thank you for visiting and commenting – much appreciated.

Kim, beautiful …. entry – I wouldn’t mind having more of sunset evenings like this. Have to wait 6 months now.

Yes, you’re headed to your dark days. Though with the summer we have ahead, I wouldn’t mind a bit of time in Sweden.

Kim, Sweden is a truly beautiful country and I love it of course – you should visit neither in end of June or the beginning of December. You’re so welcome.

That light is wonderful. Those minutes, and also in the morning, before sunrise … unbeatable! The silhouette of the pelican is stunning. You could use that for some touristy brochure 🙂

Thank you for your comments — I agree, mornings and just on sunset are the best times, especially where there is some water for reflections.
