This week’s WordPress weekly challenge is around the word Optimistic. The request is:
This week show us something you’re optimistic about, or perhaps a talisman that helps you stay positive and hopeful, regardless of what life (and the weather!) throws your way.
There are many definitions of optimism. I quite like this one:
A hopefulness and confidence about the future or the success of something.
With that in mind, I present to you, dear reader, a number of photos I’ve taken over time, all of which have a level of optimism about them. Enjoy!

All of your photos aptly express optimism but I especially like the one featuring the road disappearing into the distance. Hard to put into words but somehow it’s optimistic of the future for me, that there is a destination/destiny somewhere up ahead.
The young sugar cane plants are great too and a clearer depiction of optimism. Farmers must have it in spades when you think of how much is out of their control.

I think you and I (and probably many others) share a similar thought about our destiny. Just when you think you’ve arrived, upon closer examination, you realise that it’s not what you thought…so on you go. Thanks for commenting Robyn – always a pleasure to read your interpretations. 🙂

My favorite of the lot was the sugarcane field ground at the close up. It was so surreal 🙂

Yes, I think it’s mine as well. I recall it was quite a feat to get down to take the shot, as the ground was soft and muddy. The things we do for our passion, hey. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and commenting.
