    • Yes, they are beautiful. I once lived on an island off the Aussie coast and there is a waterbird habitat on it. Every year there is a resident pair of swans and they build a nest and lay their eggs in peace. It’s a beautiful process to follow.

      • I can relate, Kim. When I lived in Slovakia I saw many couples of swans but one of them I visited for three years and two time I saw their babies. But the last year White Pearl (I named them White Pearl and Gus) had only two eggs and she threw the eggs into the river, because it was a cold spring and probably the babies wouldn’t hatch out.
